Management

ROBERT F. BALL, Ph.D. was born in Houston, Texas in 1943. He studied classical piano with Joseph Evans and Drusilla Peterson in Houston and with Bruce Symonds and Donald Currier at Yale. He was educated at Yale, the University of Zürich, the University of Mexico City, the University of Münster, and the University of Madrid. He received a Ph.D. in Spanish literature at Yale University in 1976 and has taught at Yale, Stanford and Montana State Universities. He cofounded the Gallatin Chamber Orchestra in 1994 and served as Chairman of its Board of Directors. He established Big Sky Music Management in 1993 to engage in career management, publication and recording, and international promotion of classical composers and performers in the Northern Plains region.

MARK SCHULER, Ph.D. joined Big Sky in 1997  in order to expand management services to include other types of artists. He has degrees in psychology and theatre. During his graduate training his research examined the contribution of linear and non-linear abilities and preferences to the creative process. He is a licensed psychologist in Minnesota and has experience in program development, project management, grant writing and consultation. In joining Big Sky he adds his graphic arts and photography abilities to assist in bringing together artists with their admirers.
